Why RockNRealty?

Then & Now

Then & Now

People often ask me if I’m a musician – I am not. I’m a music fan. To the max. In fact it’s hard to even explain.  I call myself a Rock N Roll Lifer. It’s as much part of my make-up as if I were a musician. I remember the first rock music I ever heard – Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. I remember my first singer crush – Donny Osmond.  My first punk rock record – Generation X. My first concert – Ted Nugent (?!), my first concert of someone I truly loved – Gary Numan.  I’m drawn to creative people. I’m addicted to the way music makes me feel.  So when Austin music critic Michael Corcoran was looking for Austiny stuff to write about for his column in Arts+Labor+Austin, an online Austin culture magazine – he thought about all the rock n roll chicks he knew who were Realtors, and wanted to find the connection. Turns out there’s a lot of good reasons!  I still get to be around creative people, I get to dress nice and mingle at snazzy events, I get to make new freinds CONSTANTLY (my fave part), and I don’t have to sit at a desk 9-5 cramping my rock n roll style!

So, here’s the article that explains “why Rocknrealty?”  and you get to find out a little more about me than I usually tell….

PS – I still rock
